From what I can tell, a C2/C3 with a hi-sec/C3 static is what i'm probably looking for. I'm a very skilled player so fitting up a tengu to solo C3's isn't an issue, neither is having multiple ships or setting up a small POS for my operations. I'm just looking for a bit of advice on what to expect (I know the gist of WH living, moreso for solo-living tricks)
C2 with a small POS...
First off, define solo. Truly solo? (one account?) Army of alts?
As a solo corp I'd definitely steer clear of most C2's C2's are one of the most popular WH's in the game. Finding one is hard. Keeping one can be harder. If the C2 is even remotely desirable, and you seem evictable, you will be. Especially with anything less than a large tower.
I moved solo into a C1 back when I had only been playing around 5 months. A C1/LS is actually a nice solo WH. I lived in it 6 months and it averaged about 500mil a week from sites. I made about 2bil a month from PI (army of PI alts). And when the WH was empty I'd pop out to LS to do whatever. Hunt if it was a good area, explore if it was empty.
I've also lived in a C3. We did not get camped in, or killed alot as Vegas infers. A C3 however is probably the most popular static to farm, so you do get much more traffic through them. If you leave your sites sitting around, someone else will snatch them up. On average a C3 made around a bil a week from sites. I never got around to restarting my PI.
If you truly want a WH quiet enough to be solo in, with a static, I'd look for a C4 with a static C1-3.
Ultimately however, it gets horribly loney being solo in a WH. I eventually moved out of my first C1 for that reason. If you really want to experience WH life, join a WH corp. WH life is really about forming tight knit groups who work together in the vastness of the unknown.
That being said, there are plenty of corps out there, so you can join a small corp instead of one of the big powerhouses if the big corp thing isn't for you. |
